This sweet crochet pattern is a quick
project for even the newest crocheter. This particular pattern is for a
3 to 6 month old baby. As in all crochet, you can increase the size

This is how the slipper should look now.
Fold it in half length wise.
Sew the heel edge with the tail end of the project, then turn the slipper right side out so that the sewn edge is on the inside of the slipper.
Fold over the left side of the toe part.
And then fold the right side over the left as shown.
Place a button on the edge of the fold and sew it into place making sure to go through BOTH layers of folds, but avoiding the sole of the foot.
Note about buttons
Because this is intended for a baby, please be aware of choking hazards with small objects and young children. If you do place a button here, make sure that is secured completely. Another option to embellish this slipper is to crochet a small flower in place of the button.Turn the slipper wrong side out and, using your tail from the beginning of the project, sew along the first formed edge ( inside) to secure it in place and to avoid it shifting during wear.
Now, turn your slipper right side out and admire your fantastic job!
I love these little slippers. I am attempting to make them for my baby, but I've hit a bit of a snag. On the row that has 2 HDC on the first 2 Sc and last 2 SC, I am ending up with 32 stitches instead of 30, which is throwing off the rest of it. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteActually my above comment should say I am ending up with 28 stitches instead of 26.
ReplyDelete-2 HDC in first 2 SC, HDC every SC until the last 2. Place 2 HDC in each of the last 2 SC, CH 2, turn (26)
ReplyDeleteI dont know about you but when I get to this line Im getting (28) Is this an error or am I doing something wrong? Please reply?
Thank you for making the corrections in the pattern above and responding quickly. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern but don't seem to understand the part where you SS 10 ... the way I am doing it ends up with this thick fold. Can you help me???
